PERPICH GRADUATION CREDIT REQUIREMENTS
Enrolled students must earn a combined total of 18 credits in grades 11 and 12. These credits must include two English credits, eight art credits and eight additional credits to meet our graduation requirements to be in compliance with the state of Minnesota Graduation Standards.
Students enrolled in grade 12 only must earn nine total credits. These credits include one English credit, four art credits and four additional credits to meet our graduation requirements to be in compliance with the state of Minnesota Graduation Standards.
Perpich does not offer algebra 1 or geometry. Applicants must have completed those credits before being accepted to Perpich. We have one class, yoga, that provides both physical education and health credits, but it is recommended that both of those credits be completed, if at all possible, before application to Perpich.
HONORS DIPLOMA
Students must be responsible for contacting the guidance counselor regarding the possibility of graduating with honors from Perpich Arts High School. Students must be aware that the 14 earned credits and 3.60 GPA are requirements for being recognized as an honor student by the end of third quarter of senior year. Students and parents should contact the guidance counselor early in the school year if they are concerned about honor diploma status.
Diplomas with honors designation are awarded to students who attend Perpich Arts High School and meet the following criteria:
18 credits earned in grades 11 and 12 and cumulative GPA (calculated from grade 9 through first semester, grade 12) of 3.60/4.0 point scale (A-) or higher
