The Perpich Library has a collection of more than 13,000 items geared toward artists, teachers, and students. A public library, any resident 18 years or older from Minnesota can become a member of the Perpich Library for FREE—check out what we have for you today!

Monday – Friday: 8:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m., with extended time some days.

The Perpich Library catalog finds items from our physical collection along with electronic resources such as articles and ebooks.
For perpich Students
Come enjoy the library as a place to work on research projects, watch movies, connect with friends, find a good book or ebook, and more.
students have access to:
- ELM Databases — Gain online access to magazine, journal, newspaper, and encyclopedia articles, along with other informational resources.
- Research Help and Ebooks — Looking for information on a specific topic? Want to read a novel on your phone? The library is here to help!
- Makerspace — A DIY craft space with art supplies, a 3D printer, cutting machine, and more that students can borrow and use for projects.
- Zine Collection — The Perpich Library owns more than 200 zines for browsing while in the library. Have your own zine? Anyone can donate to the collection.
For teachers and the Public
Join the library for access to our extensive arts and education resources. There is something for everyone:
for teachers
Professional development resources are available, which have been curated by the State Arts Education Specialists, and include content for K-12 students from the five art areas: dance, media arts, music, theater, and visual arts.
for the public
As an official Minnesota State Government Library, any resident of MN 18 years or older, has access to our entire collection of books and other resources. Don’t live close to Perpich? Items can be mailed to members as well as transferred to/from Perpich from other libraries via our interlibrary loan service.

Does the Library accept donations?
Yes, the Perpich Library does accept donations. Please contact the librarian first by phone (763-279-4170) or email ([email protected]) to explain what kind of items you are donating and how many items you have. Donated items will either be added to the collection, put to use by teachers, or offered for free to the arts high school students.
